Can I call or get phone numbers in other countries, or connect my own phone carrier?
In the phone settings, Allowed destinations is the list of countries your system is allowed to call. You can turn countries off to reduce cost and to stop accidental calls to places you never call, for example keeping only North America.
Which countries you can get phone numbers in is a separate, fixed list shown when you search for numbers. Not every country is on it, so check the list for your country.
There is no option to bring your own phone service for AI calling. If you need to message a country the platform does not cover, you can use the API step as a workaround for some outbound messages: give the AI agent the API documentation of a messaging service in that country and ask it to build the connection. It is not as native as a built-in channel, because the messages and conversation history would not live in the platform the same way.
